Can anyone help me fix my xbox 360 disc problem?

when i try to play multiplayer on Black Ops, it freezes and sometimes says unreadable. everything else works, like zombies and campaign and stuff. multiplayer is the only thing that doesn't work. there's also a circle on the disc that i cant clean off. all my other games work too.
