I feel really insecure about my birthmark..?

i have a really noticable birthmark on my forehead and have always felt embarrased and hid it behind my fringe. Ive been with my boyfriend for 6 months and we havent spoken about it, he sometimes brushes my fringe back and its obvious he can see it but he hasnt ever spoken about it, is that incase i get embarrased? hes a great guy and i know he would be bothered by it i just feel its an awquard thing in our relationship.
