What do I need to do to contend?

i'd use Steve Smith as trade bait. i know he's been a Pro-Bowler and can be explosive. but there's not a huge dropoff from him to the rest of your WRs, and you could use another starting RB. if you can find a buyer for McNabb, i'd use him as well... you're only going to go to a backup QB once this year (he gets Philly at home on MNF that week for good or bad). but that week you could try to use Orton vs KC, Stafford at Buffalo, Sanchez at Cleveland, or either Seattle or Arizona QBs against each other. play a matchup. there's gotta be someone in your league with Bradshaw or Hightower on their bench for a possible straight-up deal. or package a your guys with one of your lesser RBs for a Mendenhall or Foster.
