My husband jumped to help an elderly man that lives two hours away but took weeks to fix the hot water ....?

My husband and I own three rental properties. Two are in his name and 1 in mine. My tenants said there was a slight leakage from the hot water heater. I asked him nicely to check it out. He said he would. A week or two went by. I asked again. He said he would. He still didn't. I tried to stay calm and told him it looks irresponsible for us as landlords to not take care of our tenants. He then flew off the handle saying he would take care of it. Another few weeks went by. I really flipped out on him. he said he doesn't want to go because I didn't ask him nicely and that I should do him a 'favor' (like oral) if I want him to go. Well, this really annoyed me and I said I was just going to call a plumber like I should have weeks ago. He finally went.Yesterday he helped a friend clean his whole back yard without being asked and today, a 67 year old man that lives two hours away asked him if he could help him out with cleaning something because he has a heart condition. He said yes and is going there tomorrow. (This isn't even a blood relative - just someone we know!) Why is he helping these people out so easily but it's like pulling teeth when I ask him for something - especially as important as taking care of our tenants! It may have something to do with the fact his name isn't on that house - but still, we are married and in this together. It's helping us both out and saving us money. I would go my self but I know nothing about hot water heaters. If I knew it would be such a hle I would have just called a plumber but I am trying to save money. I got annoyed tonight and asked him 'so, is he giving you oral or doing you any favors?' He then got really mad saying 'Oh just shut up and quit your bi**tchin and complaining!' I asked him why he jumps for him and doesn't help me out when I need it, especially with our tenants which should be #1 priority! He never answered and just kept telling me to shut up and quit complaining and it's because I kep t nagging and nagging him to do it and I didn't ask. Well I did ask. I started 'nagging and complaining' when he said he would and two weeks later he still didn't! What is going on here! Why does he help everyone else out so easily but not me - this isn't even helping me - it's a priority to keep our tenants happy!
