What is the percentage of light ray reflects back from human tissue?

I want to know what is the amount of light(laser) reflects back from human tissue. So there by can we diagnosis some abnormality in the internal organs such as abdominal cancer or cancer in deeper tissues. Please help me pals am getting screwed by profs... I am not getting exact source for this..
