Why does my paintball gun chop paint?

Hi. I have a spyder victor 2009. I was playing yesterday and it started fine, until a paintball broke inside the hopper. Then every paintball i shot out had a curve on it and i couldnt get it anywhere near my target. So the guys at the paintball place told be to squeegee the barrel and behind the barrel, and clean the feedneck and hopper. I did all of this and there is still a curve with brand new paint. How can i stop this? btw- i have a stock barrel and a cheap $5 viewloader hopper.
