Modern Day Astral Projections ?

What you perceive during projection is very much filtered by your preconceptions and beliefs, conscious and otherwise. Though I don't doubt they're out there for those with a Japanese perspective, I personally have little to no resonance with a "9 levels of evil" concept so don't get to see the worlds that way. The most relevant division I experience is etheric (varying from spooky-feeling to neutral) vs astral (varying from boring to wonder-filled), but even that categorisation is highly smudged. Theosophists split reality into seven planes, then there's the 'densities' concept, there are a lot ways of slicing things up. As a Christian, you might find it interesting to read the Secret Book of John from the Nag Hammadi collection, interpreting aeons as levels.
